New Vote With Your Purse Report

She Should Run has updated their Vote With Your Purse report on women and political donations.  It is a short 14 page pdf.  Some of the conclusions did not surprise me -- women donate more to Democratic candidates and causes than Republican.  Others did -- women are more likely to donate to ideological PACS than to candidate or party related PACs.  Women candidates are good fund raisers -- in our part of the country Allyson Schwartz is a good example of that.

Two reasons women tend not to donate is that they we don't connect political leadership with positive change, and we don't consider political donations as a form of civic involvement in the same way that we view other kinds of donations.
