Some of our state legislators have introduced legislation that would allow residents of Pennsylvania to fill legitimate prescriptions (those written legally), regardless of the inclinations of the pharmacist. In other words the pharmacist couldn't refuse to fill a prescription if they didn't believe in, say, contraception or psychiatric medications or little purple pills. It's bad enough that insurance companies and HMOs are interfering with our medical decisions. Now we have to worry about jumping through the pharmacist's hurdles as well.
