Early Endorsements

The Drexel Democrats have endorsed Anne Dicker in the Democratic primary for the 1st State Senate District.

In the 10th Congressional District, a couple of Republicans are taking on Chris Carney, the incumbent Democrat. One of the GOP contenders, Dan Meuser, announced that he has been endorsed by former senator and current Inky columnist, Rick Santorum. (Given the election results last November, is that something to broadcast?)

I am not surprised on the Meuser endorsement. Dan Meuser is a conservative republican that has supported republicans for a very long time. I don't see how Santorum could endorse anyone else in the race.

I'm not suprised, but for a different reason. Santorum endorsed Specter, so why shouldn't he endorse someone like Meuser who gives thousands of dollars to liberal democrats like Ed Rendell and Charlie Rangel.

I don't care how much he gives to Republicans, if you are playing the game playing both sides against the middle, either the voters will lose, or you will lose your seat...right Rick?

We'll assume that's a rhetorical question as I don't think Rick's going to pop in to answer.

Over 90% of Meusers donations have been to Republicans. This issue is a dead issue but certain people keep trying to make it stick. I guess Meuser's that good of a candidate if you can't come up with anything else.

Those pesky Republicans, always plotting to take over the Solar System.

Hmmm, wouldn't that take some kind of government funding for space travel? I don't see SpaceX or Blue Origin or Boeing being that concerned with partisanship. I could be wrong, though.
