Update on Flooding

A few updates on flooding in Bucks County:

The Heritage Conservancy is working with Warminster Township to develop a watershed plan for the Little Neshaminy Creek. The conservancy is accepting public comments on the draft plan until June 29. The Delaware River Flood Task Force held it's first meeting in late May. This group of 17 represent municipalities and townships along the river is currently chaired by New Hope borough manager John Burke. They have recieved a $100,000 from the fine people at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 26. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-08) of Bucks County has announced a FEMA grant of over $600,000 to help pay for repairs to the Yardley sewer system, damaged in the June, 2006 flood.
