This Thursday evening the Council Rock School Board will again take up the matter of the Melsky tract, a section of land that is currently at the crux of a possible new veterans cemetery. If Council Rock will sell the Melsky tract to Toll Brothers, Toll will sell the Dolington tract to the VA and those 200 acres will become Southeastern Pennsylvania's new VA cemetery. It is a little more complication than that but its the basic gist. For more details see my previous post on the topic or this article from Sunday's Bucks County Courier Times ("Critical vote on cemetery this week," by Theresa Katalinas)
This past Saturday Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-08) whose district includes all of Bucks County, held an event for local veterans and Eagle Scouts to show their support for the new cemetery. ("Murphy, veterans rally for cemetery," by Danny Adler Bucks County Courier Times 6/03)

Toll Brothers in the middle of yet another federal land controversy, what a surprise...
Just as they did with the tract of privately held land within Valley Forge's park boundaries they bought and threatened to develop with scores of tract housing unless bought out at an outrageous price by Uncle Same, Toll Bros is once again apparently using the same tactics with this land. Toll will "give up" its land in return for building/development concessions elsewhere in Bucks. Toll is truly shameless when it comes down to what is essentially extortion.
