Regular readers will know that flooding is a topic I follow with interest. Here are a few resources you might find useful in following watershed issues in your area:
Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds & Rivers (POWR). The website includes a list of watersheds and what is being done in specific locations, as well as a list of watershed groups and resources for them. You might also contact your township's environmental advisory committee for local details.
There are no alligators there but there's tons of history in the Philadelphia sewers. Check out Phillyh2o.org for a lot of information compiled by the Philadelphia Water Deptartment's watershed historian consultant.
The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission makes a variety of information available. Under regional planning / environmental planning you can find some watershed info.
