A passing note from the world of transit.
There is a guy who sells the Daily News in the Market East transit station -- he stands near the Market Frankford station and the PATCO station. He has a fabulous voice. It's one of those "don't be alarmed, everything's fine" voices that would make a disaster sound like an inconvenience. I was going downtown last week and heard his "Daiiillyyyyy News, Daiiillyyyyy News" lowing in the background. I didn't see him and so can't say what he looks like, but his voice is amazing. Anyone looking for record an emergency message or phone tree script, should take a stroll over to the train station and listen to this man talk.

I wonder if he could be the same guy who works the 8th Street El station for a narrow slot (8-9, maybe) on weekday mornings? Love that guy's voice, almost every morning...
