The greater Philadelphia region's vibrant theater community, or at least a particular part of it, got a nice mention in this weekend's Wall Street Journal. A review of the Bristol Riverside Theater's production of "Gypsy," "If Mama was Human," by Terry Teachout, encourages readers to visit the Bucks county venue. Tovah Feldshuh's Mama Rose is singled out as a wonderful performance. If you want to see it, hurry. The production ends January 15th. Looking ahead "Steel Magnolias" and "Rent" are scheduled for this spring and summer.
