Patrick Murphy AG Campaign Update

Patrick Murphy's campaign for Attorney General has made some announcements recently:

A new campaign video is out, introducing the candidate and his qualifications.

Murphy has been appointed to West Point's Board of Visitors, provides independent advice and recommendations on matters pertaining to the U.S. Military Academy.

PoliticsPA reports that Murphy has received the support of several political leaders and elected officials in Luzerne County.

Never before in Bucks County Politics has there been so blatant an attempt to infringe on voters rights the way the Patrick Murphy camp did last year with their illegal and immoral absentee voter scam. (Just send in your absentee ballot to us, if you're a D we'll forward it up, if you're an R, we keep it.) The fact that this gentleman continues to garner the support of the Democratic party the way he does goes a long way in describing their attitudes towards the law. Perhaps that is the reason we have yet to see a Democratic AG.

Nice.

I reviewed the original complaint filed in this matter (those interested can google around and find it). There was no mention of not turning in R absentee ballot applications. The complaint included an email from a Murphy campaign worker. It specifically said "drop off Democrats" -- registered D's who don't always vote. The email directed campaign workers to encourage those voters to apply for an absentee ballot. It did not direct the use of illegal tactics to get those signatures. Letters from some voters indicated that some volunteers encouraged people to sign ballot applications for relatives.

The absentee ballot application process was poorly designed and badly deployed. You allege that it involved tampering with Republican ballots and I don't see any mention of that in the complaint. The complaint itself was dropped after the election.

You clearly have strong feelings about Murphy. You are also making allegations without providing proof.
