schwartz wont get another committee - ways and means is a select committee so she had to give up transportation and budget.
In addition, Fattah and Brady are likely to return to their current committees: Fattah to Appropriations, and Brady to Armed Services, House Administration, and the Joint Committee on Printing.
As for Republican Pennsylvanians whose districts stretch into the Philadelphia area, Jim Gerlach currently serves on Financial Services, Homeland Security, and Transportation/Infrastructure; Charlie Dent on Government Reform and Transportation/Infrastructure; and Joe Pitts on Energy/Commerce. I suspect that Dent (who will be a 2nd-termer) will lose Government Reform since very few Republicans on that committee left office, and that Gerlach (a 3rd-termer) will lose one or two of his assignments. I'd also guess that Pitts (a 7th-termer) will stay on Energy.
Whoa!! very smart and informed people here. I'm impressed. Thank you very much for the additional information.
