Madeleine Dean in 153rd

Josh Shapiro's election as Montgomery County Commissioner leaves his state house seat, for the 153rd house district (Abington and a section of Upper Dublin), vacant.  Madeleine Dean, new Abington Township commissioner, has been endorsed by the Abington Rockledge Democratic Committee to run in the next election.

from the press release:

Born and raised in Glenside, Dean first became active in local politics during her college years, when she served as committeewoman and volunteer coordinator for then State Representative Joseph Hoeffel. After graduating from Widener University’s School of Law, Madeleine practiced law and served as Executive Director of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, before opening a law practice in Glenside.

Dean is currently teaches writing, including Business Writing and Legal Writing, at LaSalle.  I can't find a current campaign website but there is a lengthy biography on the ARDC website.

Is she licensed to practice law under a different name because the PA Disciplinary Board has no M Dean listed.

I don't see anything under either Dean or her husband's last name in Martindale (www.martindale.com). Since she is teaching now she might have let her law license lapse. I know several people who had practiced law and now teach who have done that.
