The Star Trek universe was home to a few green women and the fine folks at Marvel brought us She-Hulk, but green women do not exist just in science fiction.
A few weeks ago Reps. Allyson Schwartz and Cynthia Lummis (Co-Chairs, Women and the Economy/Business Task Force, Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues), Rep. Jan Schakowsky (Co-Chair, Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues) and Reps. Gwen Moore and Kay Granger (Vice-Chairs, Congressional Caucus for Women’s Issues) worked with Women's Policy Inc to host an event, "Green Training and Employment for Women: Path to Economic Self-Sufficiency?"
Pennsylvania's Schwartz has been active in environment areas for many years.
You can read the story of one women involved in training for green jobs at "Low-income women learn skills for green jobs," by Desmond Marshall at http://www.axcessnews.com/index.php/articles/show/id/20185
