More on the State Budget and Schools

We still don't have a state budget and school districts have missed two montly payments from the state. While our elected officials stand on either side of the aisle and poke each other in the eye with sharp sticks, schools are suffering. I cannot tell you how upset I, as a parent, am about this.

Here are a few recent news stories on the subject.

"Democrats say numbers show Republican education-spending claims exaggerated," by Erin Halasz, Capitolwire.com

Gov. Rendell on adequately funding education

"Greenleaf speaks with UDSB on education funding," by Thomas Celona, Montgomery Media (quotes from Republican State Senator Stewart Greenleaf and school board member and one time state house candidate Mike Paston)
