Like most long-tail bloggers (those with smaller niche blogs), I keep careful track of usage statistics and what sorts of search terms bring people here through search engines. Before the 2006 elections I had the opportunity to see Barack Obama in person a few times and in the write up of one of these events I commented on Obama's height. Since then the blog has had consistent visitors searching for the how tall Senator Obama is. So let me state this more formally.
According to IMDB Barack Obama is 6' 1 1/2".
According to "How Obama learned to be a natural," by Edward McClelland, Salon.com, Feb 12, 2007, Obama is 6' 2".
Those are the most definitve answers I can find.
