The Politico ("GOP puzzled as Michael Steele courts diplomats," by Jonathan Martin and Josh Gerstein) writes today on an invitation issued to at least one foreign ambassador. Here is an excerpt:
“With literally hundreds of congressional seats up for grabs in just under four months, Chairman Steel [sic] would love to have the opportunity to discuss the Party's outlook with you.”
Yes, that's right, the RNC message spelled Chairman Steele's name Steel. It's an easy mistake, to be sure, but spelling the boss's name wrong is never a good career move. Nor does it leave a very professional impression.
