Yowza!! The Bucks County Democrats have declined to endorse incumbent Democratic County Commissioner Sandy Miller. According to their website:
Middletown Supervisor Diane Marseglia and Lower Makefield Supervisor Steve Santarsiero have received the endorsement of the Bucks County Democratic Committee for the two County Commissioner slots on this year's ballot.
More on these two in coming days.

I don't follow BucksCo politics much at all, but it seems to me Sandy Miller has been the most visible member of the BucksCo Dem party for a long time. I guess with Pat Murphy's win, whatever opposition she might have within the party was emboldened or now holds more sway over what happens than she does. Either way, it looks like the kind of internal party warfare Dems don't need.
PD,
I've heard rumblings but not enough specifics to post about it. The question now is whether all four candidates will run in the primary regardless and I've no info on that.
Well, I guess Bucks Dems think they have a good shot at getting control of the county commission and that brings out candidates. Looks like the Bucks Dem primary voters will have a feast of candidates instead of a famine.
As a Bucks Dem and committee person Let me shed some light on why we decided to not to endorse Sandy Miller. The comissioner seat is a three person board with the third seat always going to the minority party. Sandy Miller for 4 terms has been content with being in that minority seat. Election after election she has undercut her Dem running mate with her only concern being to finish in third place. Our endorsment of a new slate represents the continuation of what we achieved with Patrick Murphy and the Dem resurgence in Bucks County.
Thanks for the insight. I'm happy to see Dems making serious inroads up their in Bucks, but I'd also point out that until just this last year the Republicans have pretty much ruled Bucks. I can't say that I blame any politician for fighting for one minority spot even at the expense of their "running mate". I suspect that even if Sandy Miller had done everything in her power for the Dem duo, she still would have been the one who won the minority slot. It was just the local situation that when push came to shove, the GOP was going to get two seats and Dems one. It's your perogative to endorse who you want, but I'm not sure you were being entirely fair in assessing Miller.
