My thanks to Chris Satullo for the wonderful column he wrote on the "Our Part of the Bargain" discussion. You can find it here.
Earlier this year area bloggers got together and had a similar discussion on the role of faith in politics. My view is here. Links to other blogger's views are here.
While you are here, you might want to take a look at some of other area bloggers listed on the blogroll (right hand sidebar).
Some of the more popular posts on this blog are also on the right hand sidebar. A few of my favorites are listed below (sorry for the shameless self-promotion).

Howard,
There are lots of bloggers like me, including you and the Smedley Log!
Congrats Jane. Wonderful piece.
Thanks Next! Thanks, Gort! For the congrats and for participating in the discussion.
AAJ, this is a pretty cool article and the pertinent question is well stated: What's our side of the bargain?
Blogging is a good tool and it has its place, but I have to say there is nothing like knocking on doors and talking to your neighbors, along with a healthy dose of community work.
Having said that, I invite you to check out a new team blog, PA-7 Watch, to monitor and comment on the race for US Congress in the PA-7 Congressional District, where Democrat Joe Sestak takes on incumbent Republican Curt Weldon.
We're supporting the excellent Democratic candidate, former Navy Vice Admiral Joe Sestak, for US Congress in PA-7 district, and taking a few well-deserved shots at the incumbent Republican Curt Weldon.
Feel free to visit and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the bobblehead Curt Weldon.
Congrats again on the news feature!
