Two Pet Related Notes

Two pet related press releases came across the transom this week.

1) Rob Teplitz, Democratic candidate for the 15th state senate district, has been endorsed by Humane PA, which is dedicated to electing candidates who demonstrate an understanding and a willingness to work to amend Pennsylvania laws to eliminate animal cruelty within the Commonwealth.

2) Jason Salus,  Montgomery County Treasurer, sent out this notice:

The Treasurer’s Office provides a website that allows dog owners to apply, print and pay for their 2012 dog licenses online. The website provides for payment by credit card or online check. The Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office will mail your dog tag out to you within three days of receiving your application and payment via the internet. Visit to link to for secure, online payment. The cost for an annual spayed/neutered license is $6.45. If you choose to pay via the internet, a small convenience fee of $2.00 per license by our agent is applicable.
