MontCo VoterID Plan

from the inbox:

The Montgomery County Commissioners today unveiled plans for the implementation of its new program to provide ID cards to Montgomery County registered voters who do not have or are having trouble securing the proper ID under the state’s new law.
Beginning Wednesday, October 3 employees of Parkhouse, the county’s care center, will begin issuing ID cards at various locations throughout the county.  The cards are free.
Commissioner Chair Josh Shapiro said that the program would move forward regardless of how Commonwealth Court rules this week in the case challenging the law.  “Regardless of how the court rules,” he said, “it will be appealed to the Supreme Court and we don’t have the time to wait for that to help these voters get ID cards.”
Shapiro said the cost of administering the program would cost the county less than $5,000 dollars.  The county released a schedule of places the ID could be acquired between now and Election Day.
To receive a Voter ID card issued through Parkhouse, a voter must fill out an application in which he or she affirms, under penalty of perjury, that they are a citizen of the United States, a resident of Montgomery County and a registered voter in Montgomery County.
The applicant must present one of the following seven forms of identification to receive a card: a non-photo ID issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or an agency there of; a non-photo ID issued by the United States Government or an agency thereof; a firearm permit; a current utility bill; a current bank statement; a pay check; or a government check.  This are all acceptable forms of ID currently allowed under state law.
Parkhouse will begin issuing the Voter ID cards on Wednesday, October 5.  Here is the schedule for the first week:

  1. Thanks for sharing I like your post This one is probably the most important tip I can give-if your face is tense, you'll look tense, especially around the mouth and eye areas. This causes the 'pursed lips' effect that is unflattering on everybody, and that is seen many times on ID cards. Employee ID Badges
