Free WiFi in City Hall
Council President Darrell L. Clarke today announced Philadelphia City Council Chambers and Caucus Room are now WiFi accessible. Anyone with a wireless device will be able to access the Internet. Members of the public attending meetings on the 4th floor of City Hall can use online resources and tools in real time. Clarke touted the City Council's online legislative information center, legislation.phila.gov, as a resource he thought people would find interesting.
With all due respect to Mr. Clarke, I've sat through public meetings of local government. People are more likely to be playing Angry Birds or checking sports scores. That being said, the city legislative government site is nice.
