Working Mother magazine has released it's 2012 Best of Congress Profiles. Thirty lawmakers are on the list, three from Pennsylvania
Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. Here's their opening statement on his record: Sen. Robert Casey considers early childhood education, nutrition and
investments in workforce readiness to be high legislative priorities.
Rep. Chaka Fattah. This is the opening statement in his entry: Rep. Chaka Fattah advocates for legislation and programs meant to level the playing field for those with low and modest incomes.
Rep. Allyson Schwartz. They love Congresswoman Schwartz because: Four-term congresswoman Allyson Schwartz has spearheaded efforts to
expand and improve health care coverage for children of middle-class
families, improve nutrition programs at schools and help make college
education more affordable.
For those wondering about the demographic breakdown of the list: 17 men, 13 women (if they had chosen 30 women that would be almost all of them); 8 Republican, 22 Democrat (which helps explain the gender gap in women's support of Democratic candidates).
