Independence Day Messages

An assortment of July 4th messages came in via email. I apologize for the formatting issues. Any time I am cutting and pasting from various sources the HTML gets all goofed up; I try to fix it but my hand coding skills are not that great:

Happy 236th birthday, America!

Coleen and I spent the day at the Pottstown Fourth of July parade. We saw some of you there. Wherever you are, we hope you're enjoying a happy and restful holiday.

And thanks again for all that you do for my campaign.

Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz (13th district):
On July 4th 1776, right here in Philadelphia, our nation's forefathers put ink quill to parchment and signed the Declaration of Independence.  
For 236 years this document has served as a living testament to the rights, the beliefs, and the values of our nation. It has guided us through times of war and of times of prosperity, and now today it is more important than ever.  
As a Member of Congress, and as an American, I am often humbled by the wisdom our forefathers displayed in leaving us such an important legacy.  In honor of America, please join with me to take a moment to read the Declaration of Independence .

Thank you for the privilege of representing you in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is an honor to be your voice in Congress.

First, I want to say thanks for all the support you showed our campaign. In recent weeks, Badey for Congress received many contributions. Without your willingness to contribute, our democracy would become the preserve of the ultra-wealthy.
Today marks the 236th birthday of the United States of America. Throughout our nation's history, we have faced many obstacles and emerged undeterred. We need people in Congress willing to put aside personal agendas to face these challenges. We are at a turning point.
Today I walked in the Springfield, Marple Newtown, and Skippack parades and seeing so many of our families, friends, and veterans lining the routes in celebration of our freedom is a testament to the American spirit. Tonight I will be attending fireworks displays in Upper Merion, Radnor, Lansdowne, and Clifton Heights. Volunteers from our campaign will also be at events across the district with signup sheets for anyone looking to get involved. I hope you will join me in honoring our nation as well as meeting me in person to discuss issues that affect you.
