So if fire or floozies are on the agenda it's likely to be while I'm out at a debate or taking the kids to swimming lessons. Mr. J is no fool.AboveAvgJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041855236200085575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9238806.post-83953264056389447752007-01-23T21:55:00.000-05:002007-01-23T21:55:00.000-05:00hm, my lack of experience in "wifery" will defer t...hm, my lack of experience in "wifery" will defer to your seemingly expert remarks. I am, however, greatly disappointed in the lack of floozies and fire. In my experience, both provide great entertainment.LVDemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07359661408192860813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9238806.post-67936830494237760342007-01-23T20:59:00.000-05:002007-01-23T20:59:00.000-05:00LV, the first thing you learn in Wifery 101 is not...LV, the first thing you learn in Wifery 101 is not to ask a lot of questions. The dryer is working, there are no holes in the wall, nothing is on fire, money has not disappeared from the bank, no floozies are lounging on the front porch. I'm content to let ignorance be bliss.AboveAvgJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041855236200085575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9238806.post-82904594547288976712007-01-23T19:30:00.000-05:002007-01-23T19:30:00.000-05:00What kind of bribe did he have to use on the dryer...What kind of bribe did he have to use on the dryer? We do have a circuit breaker not fuses, but we probably should have it upgraded. It's been on the "list of things that should be done" for awhile but this will kick it up to the top.AboveAvgJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041855236200085575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9238806.post-49306136036240280592007-01-21T08:57:00.000-05:002007-01-21T08:57:00.000-05:00Gee, if you have actual fuses instead of circuit b...Gee, if you have actual fuses instead of circuit breakers, you probably do need an entire new electrical service installed. Sounds like a potential fire hazard and something that ought not to be put off much longer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9238806.post-50667822469945128172007-01-21T07:59:00.000-05:002007-01-21T07:59:00.000-05:00PD, the old one is wired directly into the fuse bo...PD, the old one is wired directly into the fuse box, no plug. I think we'll need an outlet suitable to a dryer. New dryers probably can't be wired directly in. Plus, I think any good electrician who looks at the fuse box will clutch his chest in horror. We probably need an upgrade. Right now if we run the microwave for more than a minute while the dishwasher is in an active cycle a fuse blows and we have to reset.AboveAvgJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07041855236200085575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9238806.post-41607630600987177262007-01-21T06:20:00.000-05:002007-01-21T06:20:00.000-05:00Jane you don't need an electrician to install an e...Jane you don't need an electrician to install an electric dryer. Just buy one, have it delivered, set in the right spot, make sure the dryer is level assuming it has adjustable feet and plug it in!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
