Schwartz to Host Veterans Expo

from the inbox:

On Tuesday, June 8th, U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz will host her second Veteran’s Resource Expo in Horsham to ensure that veterans, soldiers, and their families are informed about and have access to the wide range of benefits and services available to them.

The Congresswoman has worked hard in Congress to ensure that our veterans receive the benefits they have earned for their service to our country. She was a strong supporter of the new G.I. Bill and has pushed for other key measures to improve and modernize benefits provided to veterans, service members and their families.

At the Veterans Resource Expo, veterans and their families can find assistance with issues including official copies of separation documents or military records; updates on the status of pending VA compensation or pension claims; replacement of medals; military pensions and pay; GI bill benefits; information on education, employment, training and business opportunities; and the work opportunity tax credit for businesses hiring qualifying veterans.

The Veterans Resource Expo will feature representatives from more than 30 federal and local agencies and non-profit organizations who will provide one-on-one information and resources on employment and training, small business, and benefits. The congresswoman’s staff will also be on hand to provide assistance.

Contact the Congresswoman's office for details.
