SEPTA Service for Army / Navy Game

From the inbox:

SEPTA is reporting for duty this weekend, as Philadelphia plays host to the annual Army-Navy Game.

The Cadets and the Midshipmen face-off Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field in this gridiron classic. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:40 p.m., but the festivities get underway at 10:30 a.m. with the Army-Navy Fan Fest.

SEPTA will run extra service early and often to accommodate fans taking in the game and related festivities, including Sports Express trains on the Broad Street Line.

These trains get fans from Center City stations to the Sports Complex in about eight minutes. SEPTA is ready to deploy the following service for Army/Navy fans:

• Sports Express trains will begin supplementing regular service on the Broad Street Line starting at 7:45 a.m., running every 10 minutes until 10:20 a.m.
• Sports Express trains will run every 15 minutes beginning at 10:20 a.m.
• Additional Local trains will begin service on the Broad Street Line between Girard and Pattison Avenue starting at 10:05 a.m.
• After the game, fans will find Local and Express trains waiting at Pattison Avenue to take them home.

Pre-game service will also be beefed-up on the Market-Frankford Line, with trains running every five minutes starting at 8 a.m. The Market-Frankford Line provides a quick and easy connection to the Broad Street Line at 15th Street/City Hall. The Broad Street Line is also easily accessible by Regional Rail. Riders are encouraged to take advantage of free weekend parking available at most Regional Rail stations, then take trains to the Market East or Suburban stations to connect to the subway. A number of bus and trolley routes also provide quick and easy connections to the Broad Street Line, as does the PATCO High Speedline.
