Missing Monday

I have updated the missing person case on the sidebar. It was one year ago this month that Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone disappeared. Their cell phones and credit cards have not been used. Their car has not been seen. They seem to have vanished into thin air. Please click the links and read the details of their case. If you have any information, please contact the authorities listed.

It is freaky. Two people and a big honkin' car. Just whisked off the planet. No matter how careful you are. No matter what you do. One day. Poof!!! You are just gone. What alarms me is the number of people this happens to and we never hear about it. Most of the Missing Monday people have family members or friends that push for resolution. How many people disappear that don't have that support network or the people in their lives don't have the resources to make a fuss?

It is, indeed, scary. It reminds me of one of those "Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" things -- hold hands when you go out into the world. In this case, the two people were, and they still vanished!

I am so sorry, to hear that there is no update. Every so often, I check for some good news.
I did not know Mr. Petrone but I did know Danielle as a co-worker. We worked as dealers at The Hilton in Atlantic City. I was shocked to hear this story, as were others who remembered her. My heart goes out to both and their children.
Situations like this helps us to more alert when going out at night. What freaks me out, is the fact, it was two grown adults. If, I could remember Danielle like I do, she was very funny but pretty tough, as well. Mr. Petrone looks pretty tough in his picture, too. How is it possible to just vanish in a huge truck? Everyone who seems to bring up the subject responds with a sigh and in same fashion...."I don't know." This is just as scary as it is puzzling.
